Our Partners in Construction

|
“Building relationships and supporting our neighborhoods with time, talent and financial resources are what make us a community bank. Youth development and education are essential to the development of a strong community. By participating in the financing of Y.O.U.’s new location, the bank not only partners with a strong nonprofit business, but we also work to help build a transformational center for youth learning. We believe in Y.O.U.’s mission and together we will work to further strengthen our great community.” — Robert Yohanan, CEO, First Bank & Trust |
Y.O.U. is pleased to be partnering with a world-class construction firm and many minority-owned, women-owned, and community businesses in developing our new facility. Our construction manager, Leopardo, has extensive experience with ground up construction of youth centers (including the Logan Square YMCA and the Jerri Hoffmann Child + Family Center) and is a leader in sustainability and green construction. Meanwhile, our Evanston-based architecture firm, Studio Talo, has thoughtfully designed our new building in collaboration with our board, staff, youth, and community.
In total, more than 30% of the construction project will be performed by minority, women, and local businesses. We are similarly excited to report that the financing of our new headquarters will be through our Evanston-based community bank, First Bank & Trust.
